Sam Darnold and the Seattle Seahawks have left Santa Clara as your Super Bowl LX Champions, after defeating the New England Patriots 29-13 Sunday night after dominating on both sides of the football.
Kenneth Walker III was named Super Bowl MVP after rushing for 135 yards on 27 carries. He picked apart the New England defense, and they had no way of stopping him.
Sam Darnold became the first starting QB in NFL history to win a Super Bowl on his 5th team or later, going 19/38 with 202 yards and 1 touchdown.
Will Campbell, though, was put on the wrong side of NFL history. He surrendered 14 quarterback pressures, the most by any player in any game this NFL season. It was just a disappointing showing from Drake Maye and the New England offense overall. Drake Maye had 3 turnovers, with 2 interceptions and 1 fumble lost. All turnovers were forced by pressures from the Seattle defense. The Patriots had 79 rushing yards, only 42 of them from running backs.
The city of Seattle has estimated that 750,000 to 1 million people will be at the parade this Wednesday, after tickets sold out in nearly 20 minutes, per KING 5 News.
Last night was a statement from the Seattle Seahawks, claiming their second Super Bowl trophy. The defense set the tone early, and the offense did just what they needed to do, scoring 29 points on the New England defense that seemed unstoppable.
